Hi my name is Aislyn and I’m 16 years old. I have struggled with Complex Medical issues and Mental Illness all my life. I have had so many treatments, more than you can imagine to get help. We decided that a Task/Service dog could assist in continuing to work on my health and help me to live life to the fullest.
A service dog can cost anywhere from 15k to 45k. Thankfully we were lucky to find a place that is close to our home. My dog will cost around 17k, it’s tasks will include many medical and psychiatric alerts and other tasks. A service dog will help me tremendously to do the things I thought I would never be able to do, like graduate high school, go to college, become a nurse, and so much more!
Lastly, we hope to continue to fundraise to help pay for care for my dog, cover other expenses related to my Service Dog, for treatments, services and other things that my insurance does not cover, like travel to treatments.
My mom and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining and supporting us on our journey as it’s a large financial burden and responsibility for us to take on.
